How we collect, use, and protect your information.
This privacy policy describes how Clique ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Clique mobile application and related services.
We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the app:
The Clique app may request the following device permissions. All permissions are optional unless noted, and you can manage them in your device settings at any time.
Camera
Used to take profile photos and share images within plans and cliques. We do not store images beyond what you explicitly upload.
Photo Library
Used to select photos from your device for your profile or to share within the app. We only access photos you explicitly choose.
Location
Used to show nearby plans and events, and to associate plans with a general area. We do not continuously track your location in the background.
Contacts
Used to help you find friends who are already on Clique. Contact data is used only to match against existing Clique accounts and is never stored on our servers or shared with third parties.
Calendar
Used to add plans you are attending to your device calendar. We only write calendar events at your explicit request and do not read your existing calendar data.
Clique uses two separate email systems:
When you sign up, your email is added to our marketing list in Loops. We send a weekly newsletter on Sundays featuring upcoming events in your area, and we may send occasional product announcements.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any marketing email, or by toggling the “Weekly newsletter” switch off in the app under Settings. Unsubscribing from marketing email does not affect transactional emails.
We do not sell or rent your email address to third parties. Loops and Resend act as processors under contract with us and only use your data to deliver the emails we send.
With your permission, Clique sends push notifications about plans you’ve joined, messages in your cliques, friend requests, and occasional product announcements (for example, when new features are available). You can turn these off in your device’s system settings or under the app’s notifications settings.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@cliqueventures.co. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
Clique is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of Clique after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
